The owner of the dealership made a couple of appearances during the class and was interested in everyone’s success. He also answered questions about the class and riding in general. Rob (salesperson), Bob (sales manager), and John (parts/accessories) were all outstanding and made me feel so excited about my bike and learning to ride. Rob emailed me a picture of me with the bike. I also received a plaque in the mail dedicated to me with a picture of my bike, which I display. I love it! These guys went out of their way to ensure the experience was pleasant. I have bought many accessories, and the staff is always pleasant and knowledgeable. The next time my husband or I buy a new bike, we’ll return to Colonial!”

Sales Manager Bob Snyder addresses me by name every time I walk through the dealership and has done so since the first time I spoke with him. Sale Associate Rob Blair was very helpful with my purchase of this bike and has made 2 follow-up phone calls to inquire how I liked the bike and if I had any questions or problems. After dealing with Ryan Williams and Bob the sales manager I will never go anywhere else. My experience at Colonial could NEVER be matched. Judy was perfect when it came to outfitting me for my new ride. Ron, the GM made me feel like part of the family. Overall, I am so pleased with the whole package!

The staff at Colonial Harley-Davidson was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I will buy every motorcycle for the rest of my life from them. GM Ron Childs even gave me a special surprise unveiling after consulting with my wife. How can you beat that!
The dealership was extremely clean, the staff was friendly, and my salesman Rob Blair could not have been better. He was extremely helpful before, during and after my bike purchase. He has helped me out greatly.
For many years there was but one dealer in the Richmond, VA area. I purchased a 1972 Super Glide from that dealer. It was one of the worse large purchase transactions I've ever experienced. Service sucked and the sales staff acted as if they were doing me a favor. Because of this negative experience, I refused to purchase another H-D item from this dealer. While I cannot speak firsthand I am told this very attitude exists today.
It is not my goal to bash this dealer but to simply draw attention to the 180 difference between Colonial and the "Other" dealer. We have purchased 3 H-D motorcycles and 1 Buell from Colonial. Every purchase experience has been a delight. "Going the extra mile" is an overused statement, but not with Colonial Harley-Davidson. Every member of the staff from motorclothes, parts ,service ,sales to the owners are exceptional as it relates to H-D purchases. I would never purchase an H-D product from any dealer but Colonial Harley. If they don't have it, I will not buy it until they get it! | |

"My husband bought a bike from Ryan last year and he was extremely helpful during the process. Everyone at the dealership has been great this past year, from sales to accessories and clothing, to parts and service. I decided that I wanted to learn to ride so, of course, we came back to Colonial Harley and I purchased my bike from Ryan this year. Being a new rider, I took the Rider's Edge course at Colonial. Jim and Mark were knowledgeable, helpful, and offered a lot of real life experience that helped to synthesize the skills and information. They are both great instructors and really made the class enjoyable. The folks a Colonial were, as always, friendly and helpful and made our class feel welcome at the dealership. I will highly recommend this class to anyone. As for Harley Davidson dealers, there is only one as far as I'm concerned and I'm happy to drive from Richmond to Colonial Harley.

"We bought a CVO from another dealer - first mistake - then when the 'new bike blues' struck, that dealer kept putting us off. A repair would take three weeks to get to and if it wasn't repaired on that visit, we were placed on the schedule again - for three weeks later. Strange dealings...
Colonial solved those issues! The service department realized that this is a brand new bike and should be taken care of ASAP. And they did. The audio system failed and Colonial's technicians found the problem, ordered the part and repaired the system within the week of the initial phone call. The 'other' dealer still has us on schedule to troubleshoot the problem.
Colonial gained a customer - the other dealer doesn't need us...."
