Prior Motorcycle Experience is Necessary!

The
Fast Start program is designed for the "true beginner" rider to gain initial
familiarity and early confidence with the Buell® Blast® motorcycle before taking
our New Rider Course.
- Fast Start is
an optional 2 hour New Rider Course preview.
- Tuition: $75.00
(4 Students per Class)
- Register
at the Dealership
- Courses are
offered on-site at Colonial Harley-Davidson/Buell by a Sstate Certified Rider
Coach/Instructor on our new, Rider Training Range.
- Courses will
be scheduled on Sundays, see schedule below.
- Colonial Harley-Davidson/Buell
provides the motorcycle (Buell® Blast®) and a DOT or SNELL approved helmet.
- Students must
provide a helmet, eye protection, full fingered gloves, long sleeved shirt
or jacket, long pants and over-the-ankle boots (leather). Rain gear is recommended.
- We ride in the
rain.
- If you are performing
poorly and endangering yourself, other students or the rider coach/instructor,
you will be required to withdraw from the course. NO REFUNDS!
The Fast Start
program consists of 3 MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation®) range activities:
1. Motorcycle
Familiarization:
- The Rider will identify
the major parts and controls of the motorcycle.
2. Using the
Friction Zone:
- The rider will learn
procedures to start out, stop and maintain control at low speed.
3. Starting
and Stopping:
- The rider will be able
to start out and stop with precision and control, learning clutch/throttle
coordination.
DO NOT ATTEMPT
TO RIDE ON THE STREET AFTER FAST START!!!!!
Graduation
from the Rider's Edge® Basic Rider Course (or equivalent) is the
only approved course to be legally qualified to ride.
Classes
are Scheduled on an "As Needed" Basis.
